ALTAMONT – A mother and her son were arrested on Sunday, Aug 21 in the parking lot of the Altamont Fair after police were called to a reported fight around 8:10 p.m.
According to State Police, an investigation determined that Angelique Anaya, 37, of Schenectady, and Sacario Anaya, 19, of Rotterdam both exited their vehicles and assaulted multiple people. Angelique allegedly used a taser during the fight.
She was charged with two counts of felony assault and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon. Sacario was charged with misdemeanor assault.
Both were taken to the police station where Sacario was given an appearance ticket and released returnable to Altamont Village Court on Thursday, Sept. 28. Angelique was arraigned in Westerlo Town Court and released on her own recognizance. She will return to that court on a later date.
