GUILDERLAND—On Monday, April 9, the Guilderland Police Department arrested Shaun M. Engel, age 28, of Guilderland, for fourth degree grand larceny and petit larceny, stemming from incidents that occurred at Lynnwood Reformed Church at 3714 Carman Road on Easter Sunday, April 1. While Easter services were being held, Engel reportedly stole a set of parishioner’s keys from their coat pocket, entered their locked vehicle and stole their wallet. In another instance that day, Engel allegedly entered an unlocked vehicle in the church parking lot and stole the victim’s credit card from their wallet.
Engel was to be arraigned at a later date and time, according to police.
