Summer at the Colonie Library
Summer is the liveliest time of year at the Colonie Library with over 150 events happening! Many events will be for all ages, since the summer’s theme is All Together Now!
The Summer Reading Challenge is a big draw for kids, teens, and adults to win prizes while doing what they love — reading! Everyone stays cool in the library’s air conditioning – adults enjoy a quiet space while reading the newspapers, teens hang out on the couches in The Cube or use a computer, and kids play with the toys in the indoor and outdoor play areas. Outside the library there are benches to rest on under the shady trees or appreciate the flower garden, as well as a fun Story Walk for the young at heart.
The Colonie Library isn’t just for books, it’s a central hub of the community.
Even though the library will be closed on Sundays from July 1 through September 3, that doesn’t mean it will be quiet!
