Adult Summer Reading
Pick up a punch card at the library, then read a book each week this summer. If your card is fully punched by August 26, enter it in our raffle drawing. For ages 18 and up only.
VPL at the Farmers Market
The library will host an information table at the Voorheesville Farmer’s Market, located at the 1st United Methodist Church on Maple Ave., on Wednesday, July 5, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please be sure to stop by and say hello.
Voorheesville History Walk
Join local history guide Dennis Ulion at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, July 8 for a trip down memory lane. Learn about how Voorheesville became what it is today. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as this walk is 2.2 miles and may take over 2 hours. Subject to rain cancellation. We will meet at St. Matthew’s overflow parking lot. Please register.
Summer Concerts
Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and join us for free concerts on the library lawn this summer. “Big Frank and the Bargain Bingers” will be here on Thursday, July 13 covering classic country, 60’s R&B, surf and rock music, as well as originals. The “Great Mutations” will be performing on Thursday, July 27. They write and perform melodic rock songs about love, work, and death. All concerts start at 6:30 p.m., and are family friendly.
D and D in 3D
Students in grade 7+ and adults are invited to register for and join us at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 7 for this fun 3D program. You will learn how to 3D print Dungeons and Dragons character files on the library’s Lulzbot printer. Paint a plastic miniature or two to add to your next campaign. All supplies provided.
Holiday and Summer Hours
The library will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Summer hours will begin on July 1, which means the library will be closed on Sundays in July and August.
