COLONIE – An Albany man and a Schenectady man are under arrest for allegedly stealing $15,000 in jewelry from an Old Niskayuna Road home on Jan. 10.
According to Lt. Robert Winn, the burglary was discovered at around 3 p.m. after the resident had been out for the day.
The suspects had broken two rear doors and once inside, allegedly stole the jewelry.

Officers and investigators developed information about a possible vehicle and suspects observed in the area on the day of the burglary.
The vehicle was stopped in the City of Albany by members of the State Police on Jan. 12, and Paul Harris, 66, of 60 Hoffman Ave. was taken into custody.
His accomplice, John Pietrzak, 26, of 813 Holland Road in Schenectady, was located and arrested two days later at his home.
The jewelry has not yet been recovered but the investigation is ongoing.
Harris and Pietrzak stand charged with the felonies of burglary and grand larceny as well as the misdemeanor of criminal mischief.
They were taken to Albany County jail pending arraignment.
