COLONIE – Senior Isaiah Moll entered the Jan. 12 game against Mohonasen needing nine points to reach 1,000 points for his career.
It only took a quarter for the 6-foot, 7-inch guard/forward to cross that demanding threshold, but the warriors took the Garnet Raiders nearly to the buzzer before the home team won 53-49.
Moll led all scorers with 23, including going four for five from the line in the fourth quarter. Guard Will Aybar had 17, including five three pointers and Josh Aybar, Shai Young and Aaron Satin had four each for Colonie (8-3.)
Jalani Abdul Aziz and Gregory Van Epps had 14 each while Duncan Tollman chipped in nine and Avery Deas had eight for Mohonasen (6-6.)
Mohon will host Columbia and Colonie will travel to Averill Park on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
