COLONIE – A routine traffic stop on Saturday, Jan. 13, led to three arrests, the discovery of a loaded, illegal handgun and a fugitive from justice.
According to Lt. Robert Winn, Officer Frank Peris stopped a 2009 Hyundai Sonata near the intersection of Loudon Road and Pine Street.

He detected an odor of marijuana and when questioned, the occupants admitted to recently smoking.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a Ruger 9mm, semi-automatic handgun, loaded with 15 rounds and reportedly stolen in 2013 in North Carolina, and a small bag of marijuana under the driver’s seat.
The driver I-Shonn P. Maynor, 19, of 50 Steinmetz Homes in Schenectady is charged with two felonies of criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana as well as the traffic infraction of illegal signal and failure to stay in a single lane.
Damir T. Parson, 18, of 1663 Becker St., Schenectady, is charged with two felonies of criminal possession of a weapon.

Brandon Delavallade, 33, of 308 Main St. in Amsterdam, is charged with the same criminal possession of a weapon charges, as well as the felony of being a fugitive from Justice. He is wanted out of Indiana for a felony charge of receiving stolen property.
All three were sent to the Albany County jail pending an arraignment.
