BETHLEHEM — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Meads Lane and Feura Bush Road on Friday, Jan. 3 at 2:39 p.m.

According to police, a 2019 Mazda, operated by Alexandra F. Moreau, 23, of Nashville, Tennessee, was traveling northbound on Feura Bush Road and stopped with its directional on to make a left turn onto Meads Lane. However, a 2013 Ford, driven by Kenneth Stroud, 81, of Hannacroix, was also traveling northbound on Feura Bush Road but failed to see the stopped Mazda. The Ford then struck the Nissan’s rear.

The crash caused two passengers in Stroud’s Ford — Wilhelmina Stroud, 83, and Wilhelmina Salamak, 74 — to sustain minor injuries and they were transported to St. Peter’s Hospital by Delmar-Bethlehem EMS. Bethlehem police, the Delmar Fire Department and Albany County Paramedics also responded to the scene.

The crash also caused traffic delays in the area for one hour but the roads were not closed; the scene was investigated and vehicles were cleared from the scene.

Kenneth Stroud was issued a traffic ticket for following too closely and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Bethlehem Court later this month.
