CROPSEYVILLE – The Capital Region received its first official snowstorm of 2024 on Saturday, January 6-Sunday, January 7, 2024, and with it, came a whole bunch of snow.
Rensselaer County is no stranger to receiving heavy snowfall during the winter months as this storm brought between 4-8 inches of snow to the hamlet of Cropseyville and the Quackenkill Creek.
Although Tuesday, Jan. 9’s rainstorm made the snow melt, and brought with it power outages due to high winds, the snowfall that fell this past weekend was pretty to view along the rocks and landscape and made for some peaceful looking scenes to capture at photographer, Amy Modesti’s home.
