ALBANY COUNTY Bethlehem came back from a two-goal deficit to defeat Christian Brothers Academy 4-3 in a Capital District High School Hockey League game Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Albany County Hockey Facility.
Hayes Meredith scored the tying goal early in the third period, and Thomas Liebold tallied the game winner with 1:32 left in regulation to give the Eagles their seventh consecutive victory. Liebold finished the night with a pair of goals, and goaltender Alex Breiner made 21 saves.
Rob West tallied twice for CBA, and goaltender Justin Bryar stopped 29 shots.
Later in the evening at the Albany County Hockey Facility, Shenendehowa downed Shaker/Colonie 9-2. The Jets scored the first goal of the game before the Plainsmen went on a 9-0 run to take control.
Hayden Haldane struck for two goals to lead a balanced Shen attack. Marty McCrudden contributed a goal and three assists.
Tyler Wilson and Geremi Navarro tallied for Shaker/Colonie.
Tri-Falls defeated Guilderland/Mohonasen/Scotia 9-1 at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility in Glenville, despite 78 saves from Storm goaltender Daniel Cooper. Kyle Bennett had the Storm’s lone goal.
