VOORHEESVILLE — The girls soccer team upset Mohonasen 4-3 to move to 9-4 (10-5 overall) and fourth place in the highly competitive Colonial Council.
The Blackbirds jumped out to a 3-0 lead over second place Mohonasen (11-3, 12-3) on goals by Sophia Bouplon, Marleigh Delisle and Jordyn Chrysler. Alexa Voland had the Blackbird’s fourth goal that ended up being the game-winner.
Sarah Leclerc and Hannah Bachorik recorded goals for Mohonasen.
Schalmont, the No. 1 Class B ranked team in the state, sits in first place with a Colonial Council record of 13-0 and 15-2 overall.
Voorheesville will round out the regular season at the Academy of the Holy Names on Thursday, Oct. 13. The sectional seeding meeting is slated for Monday, Oct. 17.
