LATHAM — The Shaker girls won a Suburban Council game — and town bragging rights — after beating Colonie 4-2 on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Micaela Tahoe had a hat trick for the 14-1 Bison with assists going to Alina Lagace, Olivia Pardo and Francesca Logrippo.
The Bison led by three at the half, but the Garnett Raiders made it interesting with an unassisted goal by Sofia Sanzo, who then assisted Julia Banceri for a goal to pull within one until Logrippo scored unassisted.
Colonie keeper Haley Blake had 10 saves while Gen Austin had nine for Shaker.
Colonie will play Averill Park at Afrims Sports Park on Thursday, Oct. 13 and host Albany on Friday, Oct. 14, to finish up the regular season. Shaker will play at Schenectady on Thursday in its last regular season game.
Sectional seedings are slated for next week.
