COLONIE – Meg Versteegen, a 38-year-old from Schenectady, won the Crossings 5K Challenge on Sunday, Sept. 24, with a time of 19:05.
In Second, and the top male finisher, was 54-year-old Sam Mercado, of Albany, with a time of 19:56, and third place went to Hank Tripp, of Glenmont, with a time of 20:34
Rounding out the top three male finishers was 45-year-old Jay Geiger of Latham with a time of 21:21.
The second place female finisher was 26-year-old Amanda Schermerhorn, of Latham, with a time of 20:52, and in third was 24-year-old Katie Ehmann, of Saratoga, with a time of 21:04.
The race was held at the Ciccotti Center and was to benefit the Colonie Youth Center.
