What is your position on the availability of comprehensive and affordable health care for women, contraception coverage, etc?

I buck my party on Planned Parenthood. As a young couple, my wife needed the services here for screenings, exams etc. I support funding these centers as they provide extremely vital services for women and families. Contraceptives are absolutely key. Promoting safe sexual practices as well. Combined, promotion of contraceptive use and safe sexual practices will prevent discussion of the most controversial topic of our time; handling of unwanted pregnancy. Insurance companies should provide such services for no or very low charges. It is much more expensive to treat costly medical conditions caught late. [/quote]

Equal pay?

The problem is that Courts often erect obstacles to these type of cases, as they do in all areas of civil rights and employment law. I would support any legislation that eliminates obstacles to women being employed in any field they see fit. I will be a strong advocate for freedom and full equality of opportunity. [/quote]

These new laws will help achieve pay equity, strengthen human trafficking laws and protections for domestic violence victims and end pregnancy discrimination in all workplaces.
