New York State Police are investigating an assault complaint that occurred at a private residence in Clifton Park.
Police said a 67-year-old man answered his door at approximately 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, and was confronted by a white man. The person asked the homeowner his name and then allegedly struck him on the top of his head with a metal pipe. The homeowner sustained a head laceration and was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy, was treated and then released, according to police.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s standing approximately 5-feet 10-inches, weighing around 165 pounds, wearing a gray knit hat and dark zipper winter jacket. He was driving a white SUV vehicle, possibly a mid-2000s Nissan Pathfinder that was last seen heading towards Clifton Park Center Road, according to police.
