A Latham man was charged with grand larceny and second degree reckless endangerment following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident and a stolen vehicle.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department arrested Christopher D. Frank, 28, of 5 Mountain View Terrace, Apt. 4, in Latham, following an accident on Jan. 28.
Police said they responded to an accident on the I-87 northbound off ramp in Malta. The report indicated there was a car off the road and when a passerby stopped to help, the defendant allegedly stole the vehicle.
Frank was subsequently involved in another accident while fleeing in the stolen vehicle on Route 9 in Malta, police said.
Frank sustained minor injuries in the second accident and was treated and released from Saratoga Hospital. He was arraigned in Ballston Town Court and remanded to Saratoga County jail in lieu of bail.
