COLONIE — Acting on a complaint from a concerned citizen, police arrested a North Carolina man on Sunday, Sept. 20, and charge him with criminal possession of a weapon.
According to Lt. Robert Winn, the call stated the man was in possession of the weapon at the Days Inn motel on Central Avenue.
Responding officers located Brandon Hunt and found a 9 mm handgun loaded with eight rounds in his room as well as a small amount of marijuana.

It is the 17th illegal handgun confiscated by Colonie police this year.
Hunt stands charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.
He was arraigned in Colonie Town Court where bail was set at $7,000 cash, $20,000 secured bond and $40,000 unsecured bond.
