Defensive Driving Class

Healthy Aging Fair
Please join us for our first Healthy Aging Fair, Tuesday, April 12, at 7 Hoffman Ave., Albany, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., presented by Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc. — sponsor of the Capital Region RSVP — the City of Albany Recreation Department and Senior Services of Albany. Enjoy watching a variety of demonstrations by instructors in Yoga, Zumba and Healthy Bones for Life, as well as senior dance classes and singers. Attendees can enjoy refreshments, giveaways, participate in various class demonstrations and have a chance to win raffle prizes. This is also an opportunity to share ideas for future health and wellness programs. Wellness luncheon
The Healthy Aging program will provide a wellness luncheon on Tuesday, April 12, beginning at noon at the Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center. A presentation educating members on health and wellness will be given, along with a healthy lunch that is to be determined. Tool Box
The Umbrella of Colonie Tool Box, a volunteer handyman based tool resale shop, is open and ready for business. The proceeds from the store go directly back to the Umbrella of Colonie home-maintenance program and its members. The Tool Box is actively seeking volunteers to help sort, clean, price and sell the tools and hardware that we have pouring onto our shelves. Senior Home Safety
The Retired Senior and Volunteer Program (RSVP) of the Capital Region will host Kathy Leonard of the Eddy Health Alert at the Beltrone Living Center on Thursday, April 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to go through the steps and procedures on how to keep yourself and home safe as you age. If this RSVP orientation is completed, you will receive all rights and benefits of being an RSVP volunteer. A complimentary lunch will be included. Home Maintenance Fair
The Home Maintenance Fair will be held at the Beltrone Living Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 28. This free event gives senior homeowners an opportunity to get answers and tips from area experts on home repairs, how to organize, landscaping, maintaining a home and much more.
