Health Fair
On April 7, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center will hold its annual Health Fair. We will have nurses, chiropractors, insurance providers, hearing aid care specialists, senior living facilities and several other health care organizations on hand to answer questions, discuss basic needs, and provide free giveaways and handouts. Celebrity Chef Dinner
The Shenendehowa Adult Community Center is hosting its April Celebrity Chef Dinner on April 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Center. Kingsway Community will sponsor and prepare a delicious dinner for all in attendance. For more information, please contact the Center at 383-1343. This event is open to the public.
Greg Nazarian’s Dance Band
On the second Saturday of every month, Greg Nazarian holds a dance at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. The next dance will be Saturday, April 9, at 7 p.m. The cost is $10 per person, $5 for members of the Center. Proof of membership is required to receive the discount. Come and enjoy this wonderful event. This event is open to the public.
Golf league meeting
The Shenendehowa Adult Community Center will hold a golf league meeting April 21 at 10 a.m. The Center is currently looking for new golfers (singles and couples) to join the mixed Shen Senior Golf League. The league plays at Barney Road Executive Golf Course Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. and runs from May to September. All levels of play are welcome. If interested, please come to the meeting. Brian Zapel Dance
On the last Sunday of every month, Brian Zapel holds a dance at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. The next dance will be Sunday, April 24, at 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per person at the door. Come and enjoy this wonderful evening of dancing and entertainment. This event is open to the public.
Storytelling ‘Chocolate Delights’
The Shenendehowa Adult Community Center will hold a presentation by award winning storyteller Kate Dudding on April 28 at 1 p.m. Kate will share short stories about the history of chocolate. This event is free and open to the public. Contact the Center for more information at 383-1343.
Fashion show and luncheon
On May 1 at noon, the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center will be holding its 20th Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Mohawk River Country Club in Rexford. This event will feature fashions from Chico’s, a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, cash bar and meal of your choice. Tickets are on sale at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. Bocce in the Common
On May 2 at 10 a.m., bocce resumes for Center members at The Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. All levels are welcome including beginners. Courts are located behind the Center. Start date is weather permitting. Contact the Center for more information.
