GUILDERLAND — According to reports, one person is dead and another is in critical condition following an accident involving a car and a CDTA bus on Western Avenue at the intersection with the Northway Thursday, May 5.
Guilderland Police said Priscilla Hogan, 84, of Latham, died after the car she and her husband, Edward, entered the intersection and struck the bus. Edward, 86, was reportedly in critical condition at an area hospital. Three people on the bus were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Southbound traffic on the Northway was reportedly backed up for at least one mile until state police diverted drivers onto the Crossgates Mall ramp. Traffic was also backed up in the westbound lanes of Western Avenue.
