COLONIE – Five men and one woman were arrested at the Golden Circle Motel on Loudon Road on Friday, April 6 on a host of weapon and drug charges.
According to Lt. Robert Winn, Colonie police received information from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and investigators from both agencies got a warrant for room 23 of the motel.
A search warrant was executed at 8:20 p.m. and six people were arrested without incident.
The search recovered two illegal handguns – a loaded Smith and Wesson, .40 semi-automatic and a defaced .45 Llama semi-automatic – cocaine, heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia indicative of selling controlled substances.
An investigation into the history of the handguns is ongoing but neither was reported stolen, Winn said.
All six were charged with two felonies of criminal possession of a weapon and the misdemeanors of criminal possession of a controlled substance and loitering.
The arrested are:
-Jason P. Morelli: 35, of Mechanicville. He also faces a felony criminal possession of a controlled substance charge.
-Daniel M. Dingley Jr.: 46, of Clifton Park
-Lana C. Dugan: 31, of Clifton Park
-Glenn S. Grock: 45, of Mechanicville
-Robert I. McConnell: 23, of Troy
-Dominick M. Lashway: 21, of Albany
All six were taken to the Albany County jail pending arraignment.
