Library giving helps families
The Krakower-Storch Family Fund was established at the end of 2016 by Bethlehem residents Joe and Naomi Storch to purchase items for our collection that use technology to inform, educate or entertain. In 2023 and the coming year, the money has been used to fund diaper kits at the library for families who find themselves in need of a quick change. Each year, Joe and Naomi have pledged to match up to $1,000 per year of other donations.
The fund is given in honor of Naomi and Joe’s parents and grandparents. We are so grateful to the Storch family for the establishment of this fund to help us better serve the families that visit the library.
To contribute to the Krakower-Storch Family Technology Fund, please contact Library Director Geoffrey Kirkpatrick at (518) 439-9314, ext. 3022. You can also donate online through the Friends of the Library page on our website at www.bethlehempubliclibrary.

Digital content for kids
The digital resources available to Bethlehem cardholders can be a parent’s best friend – from popular children’s content to educational programming that makes learning fun. But it won’t do you any good if you aren’t sure what to look for or where. Join us over Zoom Monday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. for “A Parent’s Guide to Digital Content for Kids.” A librarian will discuss and demystify all of the digital content available for children through Libby, Kanopy, Hoopla and more. Visit bethlehem.librarycalendar.com to sign up.
