TROY – Let’s party like it is in the 1960s!
Capital Region 60s cover trio, Off The Record made their stage debut Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Twisted Fiddler. The trio performed two entertaining sets of music to their fans and other spectators who were looking for a means to be entertained during the holiday season.
The Twisted Fiddler stage was decked with lit-up garland and a lit-up holiday wreath placed above the stage’s center area. The remaining holiday decorations helped illuminate the band during their performance and also, inspired the trio to provide some additional holiday spirit into the air by singing a cover of Jimmy Butler’s “Trim Your Tree”.
Off The Record features Joanna Peterson Palladino Resnick (vocals/percussion), Bob Resnick (bongos/drums), and Geo Doody (guitar/vocals) and together, this band delivered the tunes of the past and made their many renditions, including “Wolly Bully”, “To Love Somebody”, and the crowd pleaser, “These Boots Are Made for Walking” enjoyable in their unique, creative twist.
What is next for Off The Record in 2024?
The band will celebrate their 15th Anniversary as a group in a big way by putting on an anniversary concert, and possibly joining them for the gig will be The Va Va Voodoos and past band members of Off The Record. The date and location of the anniversary show is yet to be determined and will be released at a later time.
