DELMAR – On Sunday, Jan. 30 a traffic accident at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Longmeadow Drive damaged an Albany County Sheriff’s patrol car and caused minor injuries to a Sheriff’s deputy.
A car traveling on Longmeadow failed to stop at the red light and hit the Sheriff’s vehicle. The Deputy was transported to the hospital with minor rib pain and returned to full duty on Friday, Feb. 4, according to Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple. The police vehicle sustained $15,000 in damage.
The Video above is from Bethlehem police unit 719 that happened to be following the car that ran the red light and captured the accident on its dashboard camera.
