ALBANY — Motorists are advised that the westbound side of Route 85 will be closed between Interstate 90 and Western Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday through the weekend, as work continues on reconstructing the roadbed.
Drivers will detour through the Harriman State Office Campus to head towards Slingerlands.
Beginning with Monday morning’s commute, one lane of westbound traffic will travel on the newly reconstructed portion of Route 85. A single lane of eastbound traffic will remain open on the eastbound side, but the on-ramps to eastbound Route 85 from Lincoln and Western avenues will be closed. Drivers who normally use those ramps will detour to Brevator Street and then onto the State Office Campus to reach I-90.
