The library will host an information table at the Voorheesville Farmer’s Market, located at the United Methodist Church on Maple Ave., on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please be sure to stop by and say hello.
Preschool Storytime – P is for Picnic
What is a picnic anyway? Children ages 2 to 5, w/caregiver are invited to join us on our picnic blanket, at 10 am, Tuesday, Sept. 12. We’ll hear all about people and animals enjoying picnics. Enjoy an interactive, theme-based, multi-age storytime with an emphasis on early literacy that will include an art activity that can be completed at the library or at home.
Forest Bathing
Ebony LaBrew-Kone of Sacred Space will lead a forest bathing program, starting at noon, Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy’s Bender Melon Preserve. Forest bathing is a guided meditation that uses the sensory experience of being in nature for stress relief and relaxation. The program, which is funded by the Northeast Wellness and Fitness Initiative, will take about 2.5 hours. Please register.
Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale
Be sure to set aside some time to stop by and explore the Voorheesville FOL Annual Book Sale, Friday, Sept. 22-Sunday, Sept. 24. Sale hours will be Friday, noon to 7 pm., Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and Sunday, 11am to 3pm. There will be books for all ages, audiobooks, CD’s, DVD’s, puzzles, greeting cards, sheet music and more. Nothing is ever more than $1.00. Raffles and a bake sale will also be featured.
