October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month. On Saturday, Oct. 8, at 9:30 a.m., the Albany Police Department will be hosting its third annual Run/Walk for Domestic Violence Awareness at Jennings Landing in Albany’s Corning Preserve. The 3.1-mile walk or run course goes along the Hudson River, and begins and ends at Jennings Landing.
The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for students in advance, and $25 the day of the event. Children under 12 are free. Proceeds from the event will go to organizations who support victims of domestic violence in our community.
