ALBANY — The Egg announced two December shows as part of its American Roots & Branches concert series.

Mountain Snow Orchestra featuring Kevin McKrell, Brian Melick and John Kirk will play the Swyer Theatre Friday, Dec. 16. The trio was the support band for “Mountain Snow and Mistletoe” show creators Bridget Ball and Christopher Shaw for 24 years, but it will now headline this year’s Christmas show, which features holiday music, merriment and mischief.

Folk Alliance Artist of the Year Darlingside will play The Egg Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. The quartet draws its inspiration from folk, bluegrass, classical and barbershop harmonies. Tall Heights — the duo of Tim Harrington and Paul Wright — opens the show with its urban American sound.

Tickets for Mountain Snow Orchestra are $25, and tickets for Darlingside are $29.50. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, July 29.

For more information, call 473-1845 or visit www.theegg.org.
