Boys swimming: Shaker, Niskayuna roll to victories

ALBANY COUNTY Six swimmers won individual races for Shaker in a 98-80 Suburban Council victory over Bethlehem Tuesday, Jan. 5, in Latham.

Frank Miao (200-yard freestyle), William Matz (200 individual medley), Dimetri Santoro (50 freestyle), Steven Yu (100 butterfly), Mark Enright (100 freestyle) and George Enright (500 freestyle) posted victories for the Blue Bison. Chris Redmond (diving), Connor Doyle (100 backstroke) and Allen Zhou (100 breaststroke) earned individual wins for the visiting Eagles.

In Niskayuna, the host Silver Warriors defeated Guilderland-Voorheesville 102-76 in a dual meet. Ethan Bachert led Niskayuna with victories in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly, while Daniel Zhu won the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke for Guilderville.
