Guilderland’s Andy Cummings won the 195-pound division title at the Section 2 Class A wrestling championships Saturday, Feb. 7, at Columbia High School.
Cummings needed overtime to edge Shaker’s Chris MacDonald 3-1 in the finals. Cummings scored a two back points in the 1-minute extra period to become Guilderland’s lone Sectional champion.
Guilderland’s Kevin Ochs made it to the 132-pound final, where he was pinned by Columbia’s Kyle Greene with 38 seconds left in the first period.
