Last week you chose Columbia to be the Suburban Council’s top-seeded team in the Section II Class AA baseball playoffs, and the Blue Devils received a boost in that direction following Shenendehowa’s 1-0 loss to Shaker Wednesday.
This week, we want to know which Suburban Council softball team you think has the best chance to win the Section II Class AA title. Of your four choices, three hail from the South Division. The teams are:
Bethlehem — The Lady Eagles reloaded this year following the graduation of several key position players, and they’ve improved significantly from the start of the season.
Colonie — Led by senior pitcher Kelly Lane, the Lady Raiders are at the top of the very competitive South Division standings and in contention for the No. 1 seed.
Guilderland — After a 1-3 start, the Lady Dutch have won nine out of their last 10 league games, including victories over Shen and Bethlehem.
Shen — The Lady Plainsmen sit atop the North Division standings and own a victory over Colonie.
