LATHAM — On senior night, Shaker girls swimmers fell to Shen by an overall score of 90 to 72.
For the Bison, Ella Fraley won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:27.5.
Shaker swept the top three spots in the 100-yard backstroke: Kaiya Fraley won with a time of 1:07.84, Ella Ackley placed second with a time of 1:14.51 and Riley Salvi placed third with a time of 1:18.32.
The squad also swept the three top spots in the 100-yard breaststroke: Catherine Cheng won with a time of 1:22.84, Eloise Gall placed second with a time of 1:26.5 and Christina Cheng placed third with a time of 1:28.96.
The relay team of Ella Fraley, Kaiya Fraley, Catherine Cheng and Olivia Lutz placed first in the 400-yard freestyle with a time of 4:21.06 and the team of Samya Madhukar, Kaitlyn Valenti, Margaret Murphy and Christina Cheng placed second with a time of 4:57.4.
The girls will swim at Guilderville on Monday, Oct. 17 and swim at Niskayuna on Wednesday, Oct. 19 before hosting Glens Falls on Oct. 20.
Sectionals are slated for Nov. 4 at Shenendehowa.
