SPOTTED: Bethlehem girls tennis remains undefeated

BETHLEHEM – The girls tennis team extended its win streak to six games by beating Columbia 9-0 at home on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The Eagles, undefeated with a perfect 3-0 league and 6-0 conference record swept all six singles matches and three doubles matches against the 1-4 and 1-5 Blue Devils:

  • Kirsten Phang defeated Anika Galkiewicz, 10-4
  • Amanda Koch defeated Davina Del Pozzo, 10-8
  • Anna Peles defeated Anna Puglisi, 10-0
  • Zara Pattison defeated Young Shelby, 10-2
  • Purvayi Patil defeated Laney Broglio, 10-0
  • Rachael Close defeated Georgia Mahoney, 10-1
  • Caleigh Myers and Makayla Alfred defeated Stella Forte and Kristen Murray, 11-9
  • Ella Sutliff and Kiran Williams defeated Alyssa Gonyea and Brenna Paxton, 10-2
  • Chloe Heckman and Nina Vargas defeated Alyssa Merola and Annie Motler, 10-0

Bethlehem is scheduled to play at Schenectady today, at Averill Park on Saturday, Oct. 17, and host Shen on Sunday, Oct. 18.
