BETHLEHEM — The Eagles field hockey team beat Columbia in the quarterfinals of Section II, Class AA play on Wednesday, Oct. 23, by a score of 3-0.
Carolyn Fisk and Brynn Jones each had a goal and an assist for Bethlehem while Julia Harvey added a goal and Avery Jones had an assist.
The score was 3-0, but Bethlehem dominated the game, keeping the ball on its end of the field for the majority of time, forcing Columbia goalie Sophia Venable to make 20 saves.
Bethlehem came into the sectionals the No. 2 seed and will host rival Guilderland, the No. 3 seed who beat Niskayuna 1-0 on Wednesday, on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
