RAVENA — Meaghan Houk hit a two-run homer in the first inning and that’s all the Indians needed to get by Catholic Central in a classic Colonial Council matchup on Tuesday, April 30.
CCHS scored a run in the top of the first, but then Kayla Loomis settled in for Ravena, striking out 10 while allowing just three hits and not walking a batter.
Caitlin Orsino went 1 for 3 with a run scored and Kaylee Eacho went 1 for 2 for RCS (2-5.)
Abby Cowieson had an RBI double for CCHS in the first inning (2-4.)
McCayla Burns went the distance for CCHS, giving up the two runs on three hits while striking out seven and walking one.
