COLONIE- The Raiders girls basketball team held off The Eagles for a Suburban Council win on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
It was a back and forth game, and Bethlehem was up four at the half and then down a point with just under three minutes to play. But, Colonie went on an 8-4 run to end the game and got the “W” 53-48.
Colonie was led by junior standout Aliyah Wright with 15 points, Alivia Paeglow with a dozen and Erin Fouracre with 11.
Bethlehem had two players in double figures: Julianna Okoniewski with 16 to lead all scorers and Molly Kirby with 13.
Rounding out the scoring for Colonie (3,0) were Kyara Triblet with seven, Sareena Dicerbo and Ahnalese Pearson with three each and Earlashia Ricketts with two.
For Bethlehem (1-2) Maggie Kirby had nine points, Tessa Hughes had six and Caroline Wise and Ava LaClair had two each.
Bethlehem will host Shenendehowa and Colonie will host Saratoga on Friday, Dec. 15.
