SPOTTED: Shaker girls dominate Schenectady
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

SCHENECTADY – The Shaker girls shut out the Lady Patriots, 6-0, in a Suburban Council matchup on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Senior Captain Cait Wood led the Lady Bison with three goals and an assist while junior Hannah Guidi had a goal and two assists.

Junior Julia Roemer and sophomore Isa Provost had a goal each while Cassidy Careccia and Meghan Piser each chipped in an assist for Shaker (3-2-1, 4-2-1.)

The Bison defense was stingy, and the offense controlled the ball most of the game so Schenectady did not force Shaker keeper Fiona Gasset to make any saves.

Schenectady (0-5, 2-5) keeper Nicolette Knauf had 11 saves.

Shaker will host Albany on Saturday, Sept. 16, and Schenectady will host Columbia on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
