BETHLEHEM – The Eagles lost a conference game to Saratoga 14-12 on Thursday, April 27.
Saratoga (6-2, 6-3) led nine-three at the half and 13-8 after three quarters. Bethlehem (3-4, 5-4) made a run in the fourth, outscoring Saratoga 4-1, but fell two goals short.
Saratoga’s Adam Meswuita led all scorers with six and his teammate Dylan Honis had three goals and three assists in what was a high scoring, physical game at Bethlehem High School.
For the Eagles, Ethan Sheraw had four goals and two assists while Ben Reilly had four goals and an assist.
Devon Halliday had two goals and two assists for Bethlehem and Chris Kennedy and Zack Nunez had a goal and an assist each. Hayes Meredith added an assist to round out the scoring for Bethlehem.
Tucker Pierce had two goals and an assist for Saratoga and Will Fox, Ryan Flatley and Matt Shamberger had a goal each. Griffin Taylor also had two assists.
In goal, Saratoga’s Griffin Rethern had 14 saves while allowing 12 shots to get by. For Bethlehem, Tyler Hull had six saves and allowed 10 and Matt Stento had three saves while allowing two.
Bethlehem will play at Niskayuna on Tuesday, May 2, and Saratoga will play Guilderland at home.
