ALBANY — The Amsterdam Mohawks rallied over the final four innings to defeat the Albany Dutchmen 7-5 in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League contest Wednesday, June 8, at Bob Bellizzi Field.
The Mohawks scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the score at 5-5, and Tristen Carranza belted a solo home run in the seventh to put them ahead to stay. Amsterdam added an insurance run in the top of the ninth inning.
Malcolm Nachmanoff had an RBI double for Albany, which jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first inning and built a 5-2 advantage in the fourth inning. Jon Skidmore contributed a single and a run scored.
The Dutchmen visit Saugerties Thursday, June 9.
