The Fifth Annual Schalmont Athletic Association golf outing will be on Sept. 19 at Western Turnpike Golf Course.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and golfers will tee off at 10 a.m. An awards dinner and silent auction will follow at 4 p.m. Raffle prizes include a round of golf for two at Saratoga National Golf Course, as well as a cash raffle drawing.
The fee is $100 for an individual golfer, which includes dinner, gift, green fees with cart, lunch at the turn, drinks, awards, and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals and local businesses starting at $25.
The dinner and silent auction is open to the public on a walk-in basis with a $35 fee. Individuals unable to attend or participate can still show support with a tax-deductible donation. Checks should be made payable to Schalmont Athletic Association (SAA) c/o Melissa Sroczynski, 153 Countrywalk Road, Schenectady, NY 12306.
Funds will benefit the Schalmont Athletic Association, which promotes accomplishments of student athletes, as well as providing additional support to enhance the district’s overall athletic program. Last year’s funds allowed the SAA to continue a Homecoming Community Event, which was attended by more than 1,100 students and residents, along with promoting school and community spirit. The event also allowed the SAA to purchase a new field groomer for the athletic fields and cardio and weight training equipment for the fitness room.
