LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Berben is always there

Editor, The Spotlight;

I would like to thank officer Berben for his monthly updates to the public on the police contract issue. The politicians in this town tell us that everything is transparent and don’t even return our phone calls, whereas officer Berben not only returns our phone calls, they show up at our houses.

We need more than two police officers. We can do with less flowers at the Four Corners and more policemen on the street.

Thank you, officer Berben and officer Long, for making this a safe town to live in and to all the kindness you spread throughout the community.
