Editor, The Spotlight:
I want to sincerely thank the many residents of Bethlehem who recently voted for me in the Sept. 10 Democratic and Independence primaries for the position of town justice. I am grateful for your support, appreciate your vote of confidence, and look forward to working diligently to succeed in the Nov. 5 general election and becoming Bethlehem’s next town justice.
In the weeks leading up to the primary vote, I spoke with hundreds of Bethlehem residents in every neighborhood about my candidacy and the reasons I was seeking the important office of town justice. I received overwhelmingly positive feedback from residents about my background, experience and credentials.
I am seeking this office because of one reason – I care deeply about our community, and I am committed to serving it in the best way that I can. I believe that our town’s future depends on its citizens staying involved in our local government and devoting their time, energy, talents and passions to the betterment of our community. Having served as a Bethlehem Town prosecutor for nearly a decade, I believe I can now make a lasting contribution to our community by helping make our Town Court the very best it can be.
I believe my experience as a Bethlehem Town prosecutor provides me with exactly the right credentials and knowledge to assume the role as Bethlehem’s town Justice. I have always strove to act with the upmost fairness and integrity as a town prosecutor, and these are precisely the qualities that I believe are important in a good judge. In my current role, I have successfully handled thousands of cases, and dealt with everything from dangerous dog hearings, to code enforcement issues, to the prosecution of numerous traffic court trials. In every case, with every issue that arises, and with every person I come into contact with, I have always maintained a strong focus on ensuring the safety and security of our community. Because of the countless hours I have spent as a town prosecutor, I have a deep understanding of how Bethlehem Town Court works and how it can positively impact our community.
Again, I want to say thank you to the many residents of Bethlehem that supported me in the Sept. 10 primary, and I am honored to be representing the Democratic Party on the November ballot. I will be working hard over the next several weeks with the continued support of my friends, neighbors and family, to be successful in November. I look forward to continuing to walk in every neighborhood in Bethlehem and to meet with more of our community’s residents to talk about their concerns and my qualifications for becoming Bethlehem’s next town justice.
