Editor, The Spotlight
I read with interest the recent letter regarding the young man teaching English in Korea. He is to be commended for taking the initiative and seeking employment wherever it can be found. The same may be said of any individual who chooses to work for an honest day’s pay, regardless of the locale. But I find it strange that one would single out a business, (PETSMART), to be mocked as being beneath the dignity of anyone working there. And, in an adolescent attempt at humor, the writer refers to it’s location as `Dullmar, NY`. Often these cynical comments are a reflection of one’s own life. Furthermore, the writer is apparently geographically challenged, for the aforementioned PETSMART is not in Delmar, but in Glenmont.
