The Pine Hollow Arboretum in Slingerlands appreciates the outpouring of community support from residents, five Bethlehem restaurants, the farmers market, the historic Community United Methodist Church and Duo Marchand to make our Renaissance concert on September 25the a huge success to raise funds for area hurricane relief.
The Spotlight featured a wonderful article September 14th about Dr. John Abbuhl who founded the non-profit Pine Hollow Arboretum, which protects land in balance with the natural world to educate the public about its vast horticultural collection. When Hurricane Irene struck our region, few of the 3,250 trees on the 25-acre preserve suffered damage.
The Arboretum inspired giving in the storm aftermath. Generous donations from the community enabled the Arboretum to help bring relief to our regional neighbors devastated by the storm’s aftermath. We thank everyone who kindly helped to make our recent community benefit a huge success!
