Colonie library’s multimillion-dollar facelift is underway

Sonny and Perley, Sunday Jan. 12, 2 p.m.

The always-popular duo of Sonny and Perley return on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m.

This year’s show is a mixed program that introduces the listener to material that Sonny and Perley regularly draw from including: the Great American Songbook – The Golden Age of Popular Song 1920s through 1950s; the Great American Songbook – Post Golden Age from the 1960s through 1980s; International Cabaret; and Bossa Nova (music that originated in Brazil, France and/or other countries written by world-acclaimed composers.)

Sonny and Perley interpret and perform the material in their own inimitable artistic style which incorporates elements of education, history, art, culture, audience engagement, intimacy, and artistic creativity.

Laughter Yoga Wednesday, Jan. 15, 6:30 p.m.

Laughter is the best medicine. Not only does it increase happiness, but laughter yoga may also strengthen the immune system, reduce pain, and relax the body.

Make some new friends, get goofy, and let your inner kid out to play. Registration is required: online or call 518-810-0314.

Crafternoons and Crafts after Dark

Thursday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. or 6 p.m.

With a little bit of paint, some glue and cute ribbon, you’ve got yourself an adorable little snowman to display.
