Clean eating on a budget 101

Thursday, June 13 at 6 p.m.

Challenged with rising costs with grocery spending? Need suggestions on what to look for when shopping? Interested in learning how to provide nutrition for you and/or your family while staying in budget?

This workshop for you; come learn the how-tos and leave empowered to attack the grocery store with a new perspective.

Presented by Health & Wellness Coach Rhonda Allen.

Monday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m.

We will explore the origins of money and the historical, ethical, and legal views of money according to Judaism.

The presentation then explains the invention of Bitcoin, its technology and its uses, and gives various Jewish perspectives of the digital currency.

Presented by Rabbi Michael Caras.

Adapting to Hearing Loss

Wednesday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m.

Speaker Dr. Russ Wolff is a licensed deaf psychologist with extensive professional and personal experience with the deaf and hard of hearing. Learn to keep a positive attitude while dealing with hearing loss in difficult social situations. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, to share their experiences and thoughts, and to offer suggestions. Presented by the Hearing Loss of America, Albany Chapter.

Cookbook Club: Let’s Avo-Party

Thursday, June 20   at 6 p.m.

Bring in your favorite avocado dish or pick a recipe from our newly added cookbook: “An Avocado a Day: More Than 70 Recipes for Enjoying Nature’s Most Delicious Superfood,” which will be on display at the Information Desk.
