Summer Reading Soiree Monday

We’re kicking off our Summer Reading Program in style at Wolf’s 1-11 from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments and meet your fellow program participants at our reception from 6 to 7 p.m., then enjoy a performance by talented local singer and guitar player Ryan Clark from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

A cash bar will be available throughout the event.

As a bonus, check your Adult Summer Reading Welcome Packet for a discounted meal coupon if you’d like to get dinner before the Soiree.

Registration not required, but an RSVP is appreciated at colonielibrary.libcal.com

Tuesday, July 10

Crafternoons: Sheet Music Bouquet

Create your own bouquet out of recycled sheet music. Bring a sharp pair of scissors and a hot glue gun (if you have one) to this fun, easy craft. All other materials provided. This craft is not messy. Registration is required: online or call                518-810-0314.

Program starts at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, July 11

Game On @ the Library

Parents with children attending the 2 p.m. Youth Summer Reading Programs — and anyone else free during the day — are invited to enjoy some fun around the library and grounds every Wednesday afternoon during the summer program.

We’ll have board and card games available in the Stedman Room Gallery, plus easy-going outdoor fun on our grounds (weather permitting.)

Drop in; no registration.

Also on Wednesdays: July 18, 25, and Aug. 1, 8, 15, and 22.

Thursday, July 12

Mini Book Discussion

Bring your thoughts about your current favorite reading materials and hear about what others are really into at this mini discussion.

We’ll have a short go-around perfect for parents with children attending the 4 p.m. Youth Summer Reading Program event, and for anyone else looking to build their Summer Reading list with top picks from local readers.

Registration is required and can be done online or by calling 518-810-0314.
