Teapots, tea caddies, tea cups and saucers, slop bowls, cream jugs, sugar tongs, napkins, doilies, and many other typical elements are involved in the afternoon tea in England since the 17th century. Come to celebrate Mother’s Day at 2 p.m., on Sunday, May 6 and get some insights into the evolution of English tea equipage. You will be treated to the famous clotted cream and scones like the Queen! You have to decide whether to put the cream on first or the jam. Please register.
Starting Your Outdoor Garden
Join gardener Sharon Miller at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22 for a talk about starting your outdoor garden. We will discuss preparing the soil, transplanting seedlings and companion planting. Peruse the newly stocked seed collection and choose some new varieties to plant.
The Voorheesville Seed Library is always looking to add to the collection. Contact us to find out about donating your extra seeds from last year’s harvest.
Cloud Storage
Want to get a handle on the nebulous “cloud?” join us on Wednesday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. with IT Librarian Andrew Ward.
Registration is requested for all programs. You can register in person, by phone (518) 765-2791.
