An Albany man was arrested after several counterfeit $50 bills were found to have been used at the Glenmont Walmart.
Bethlehem police said Dashawn Bobb, 24, of 158 North St., in Albany was arrested on Thursday, April 10. The counterfeit money was first found to have been used at several businesses throughout the Capital District in February.
Police said Bobb was later identified as a suspect and an officer interviewed him at Walmart in March. He was then asked to provide a statement detailing his alleged involvement in the case. Bobb was later arrested in April and charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first degree and felony conspiracy in the fourth degree.
Bobb was remanded to Albany County Jail in lieu of $7,500. The State Police, Guilderland Police Department and the U.S. Secret Service helped with this case.
