A Massachusetts man was sentenced to four years in state prison after robbing a pizza delivery man in Colonie, Albany County District Attorney David Soares announced Thursday.
On Sept. 26, 2012, a pizza delivery man approached Dylan McClure, 18, of Westfield, Mass., at the Towers of Colonie Apartments on Sand Creek Road with a pizza McClure had ordered. After getting the pizza, McClure, along with an unidentified accomplice, repeatedly punched and kicked the delivery man, stealing his wallet, money and a cell phone, police said.
McClure plead guilty to one count of attempted robbery in the second degree, on July 25. On Thursday, Aug. 22, McClure was sentenced to four years in state prison, followed by three years of post-release supervision, before the Honorable Stephen Herrick in Albany County Court. Assistant District Attorney Benjamin Mastaitis of the Major Offense Bureau handled the prosecution of this case.
